About me

Hi, I’m Naja. A former project manager turned potter. I’m originally from Denmark, and now I call Dubai home, where I’ve spent the past years trying to embrace a slower, more intentional way of living through clay.

I did my first pottery class in the beginning of 2023 and the rest is history. Creating brings me so much joy, and I take great pride in crafting pieces that add joy to your daily routine. My background in project management taught me a lot about details, and that’s something I’ve carried with me into my work with clay. The little things - the way a cup feels in your hands, its weight, the curve of the rim - those tiny details make all the difference (at least in my opinion!). I put a lot of thought into each detail, and honestly, I think that’s what makes my ceramics so great (if you ask me ;)).

A few fun facts about me

  • When I’m not covered in clay, you’ll probably find me traveling or catching waves. I love surfing and even spent time living in Sri Lanka managing a surf camp.

  • The UAE is the fourth country I’ve been lucky enough to call home. I grew up in Denmark, moved to Barcelona for my Master’s in International Business and Management, then spent time in Sri Lanka before landing in Dubai, where I now focus fully on my ceramics business.

  • I’ve been married to my wonderful husband, Andreas, for 10 years. His job brought us to Dubai, and this is where I found my path in pottery.

  • I’m a huge coffee nerd and love exploring new coffee spots in my free time (thankfully, Dubai has plenty to choose from!). And because I know firsthand how much the right cup matters, I put a lot of thought into designing the perfect one.

  • Creativity has always been in my DNA. Whether it’s drawing, painting, or photography, I’ve always been drawn to working with my hands. So when I found pottery, it just felt like a natural path - one I’m incredibly grateful to be on.

Thanks for being here! I hope my ceramics bring as much joy to you as they do to me when I create them

Slow, small batch production

In a world of mass production and instant availability, I am proud of taking a different approach. I craft each piece by hand with time, care, and intention. I work in small batches to ensure that every item is truly unique - not just because it’s handmade, but because only a few exist. While I don’t offer next-day delivery, I do offer something far more special that is worth waiting for - unique pieces that reflect my creative mind, crafted with such care and attention to detail that I hope you’ll notice when holding your new ceramic piece.
